Disgusted at the mainstream school Josselin has been attending since Sept 2011. As if lying to the LEA and saying she started in January 2011 even though we had filled in no registration forms and had written to the school explaining she wont be there because they havent made provision for her regarding access around the school, training and support - obviously saying she has started in January 2011 means the school start receiving money for her while she isnt there. From Sept 2011 it has been a constant battle - one we could do without after all Josselin has needed 5 operations this year along with hospitalizations for illness.

Please see the above link for details of another fundraiser planned for Josselin! We were really suprised and delighted when Lee - Josselins Dad had a phone call from westbury Wheelers to say that the local cycling and running group will be holding a joint fundraiser on 30th Dec to raise money for Joss. They are going to be cycling and running up and down Westbury Whitehorse to make the distance of Mount Everest! A really difficult challenge, I find it hard to even walk up there once. Thank you so much. xx

Live Music Fundraising Night

Hi All,

Just to let you know that we are arranging a Music Fund raising Night to raise much needed funds for Josselins equipment and therapies, also if we manage to raise enough money we would like to take Josselin to the 2013 Charge syndrome conference in Arizona. This will give ourselves and Josselin chance to meet other families and children with this rare condition and also the worlds leading experts on charge syndrome will be there too, this would also give us a chance to get the answers to many questions that health professionals in the UK have been unable to provide us with.

9th September

Hi Everyone,
Its another rainy day here in westbury! My trip to Great Ormond Street went well and I am ready to have my next hearing Op, it has been booked in for the 21st of October and while im in theatre they are also going to do the horrible broncoscopy so I dont have to have extra general anesthetics. .
I am at my new school westbury infants today for 2hrs, mum has to come with me because the school still have not employed a proper person to deal with all my needs but at least I will get to see my best friend Jessy May campbell.

7th September

Morning everyone,
Well yesterdays hospital trip to the Bath Royal United was so bad after all apart from the appalling weather. I had to have an EEG and was not looking forward to having all those wires stuck to my head, but after putting up a good fight when the wires were being attached I finally gave up and played with some toys and the rest was pretty easy all I had to do was sit there for a while.
Today me and my mum are off to London to my favorite hospital Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children to see if I am ready for the second stage of my bone anchored hearing aid operation or BAHA for short. If I am this will be done soon and then I may finally be able to hear something at last, we have to go on the train because its easier to get there and also Dad cant keep taking time off of work because he has to get money to buy me all my pretty dresses. Anyway I will let you know how it all went, the weather isn't looking up to much so i guess were going to get wet at some point! x x

6th September

Hi everyone, sorry i have not been able to keep you up to date much lately but I have been very bus again with all of my hospital stays, appointment and operations. I was @ Bristol Childrens Hospital yesterday to meet with my respiritory team as my breathing difficulties have worsened. They say i have to have two more Broncoscopies so they can see if they can find the problem, I dont like these because it makes my throat very sore and it means two more general anesthetic aswell. Today I have to go to Bath Royal United Hospital for an EEG as they think I may be having seizures, this is going to be a fun day!

29th July

Hello! havent done any updating for a while, been so busy - so much has been happening! Josselin has been having trouble with her breathing recently and has been in hospital a couple of times for investigations, she has also had her tonsils removed but didnt have any adenoids. She recovered great from the operation but continues to have obstructive breathing, I am taking her for a review at Bristol Childrens hospital next week where hopefully some decisions will be made on what to do to help her.

1st April

Josselins breathing has not been very good for the last few nights, she has spent a night in hospital but still not sure why she is obstructing with her CPAP on. Did a sleep study last night but she wasn't keen in keeping the nasal prongs in so that probably won't tell much! She is having the 1st stage of her BAHA operation next week so will have it looked into more after that. x x

29th March 2010

Josselin and I travelled to Westminster today to the Houses Of Parliament where we met with our local MP Dr Andrew Murrison in the Methodist Central Hall to talk about the deafblind support offered in Wiltshire. Had time for a bit of site seeing and saw where they are setting up for the Royal Wedding. Josselin really enjoyed being followed around by a photographer all day and the MP was very nice.
